BND Inc. is a custom software company providing our custom product, Axiom Elite, to higher education customers. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our finance department.
In this position, you will be responsible for the following:
- Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the finance department
- Preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records
- Preparing general ledger postings and reconciliations
- Preparing customer billing
- Daily data entry of financial transactions in a database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Performing basic office tasks, including answering phones and responding to emails
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
- Prior experience with customer billing
- High level of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy, strong typing skills, experience with Microsoft Excel and Quickbooks Online
- Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive customer, employee and financial information
- Willingness to comply with all company, local, state and federal financial regulations
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Accounting with 5 years job related experience or minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 3 years job related experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to attend in-person quarterly meetings
- Must be able to work remotely in a secure and private setting
- Completion of a Background Check and Predictive Index Assessment
